I have had this idea for awhile now and wanted to try it out. I love my dies that have the stitched edging that shows up on the negative space. So I decided to try it with my cutting machine. So I picked out a leaf shape I liked and sized them to fit a 4 x 5.25 inch card front.
I then added a shadow layer but changed it from a cut line to a score line. It's faint in the photos, but you can deff see it's there when you actually hold the card in your hand.
I had recently bought a huge pack of seed beads from Michael's that has every color you could possibly need. And I have a lot of sequins and micro beads as well. So I created my own mixes. I chose three different color schemes and used one in each window.
I wrapped some twine along with some metallic threads...copper and gold...and tied a bow. The sentiment is gold embossed and cut into a flag end. I glued the left edge direct to paper and put a foam square under the right edge.
I scattered around some sequins and had gold embossed an area of cardstock to get a few leaves die cut out. I than placed those slightly over the windows on the card front.
I mounted the front panel to some chocolate brown card stock and then that was placed on a white card base.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you were inspired. Get out your supplies and do some crafting!
Two beautiful leaf cards...I really like the design of the cards. Beautiful job.
