Calendars Collection

Over the past several months, I have been making calendars for every month of the year. Here is my January calendar. I used the cricut markers with my SCAL software to draw this out. The images I chose are from the Winter Bliss collection. All the card stock is very glittery and doesn't show like I wish it would. I also used a few images from the basic shapes library - winter. Used lots of foam pop dots to add dimension. Let your imagination go and pick lots of things that make you smile. Added interest with all the little extras...bling, ribbon, brads...that sort of stuff. Visit SVGCuts.com and check out their store. Get your Sure Cuts A Lot there as well.

True Love Candy Box...

Candy Heart Goodie Bags Collection

Love is in the air! Guess I am on a Valentine roll today. This is one of the newest sets over at SVGCuts.com. I used SCAL to design this box. I copied the heart from the front and made it a bit smaller. Layering one on the other, I did a path/exclude and got a frame. Ran it through the cuttlebug. I added lace all around and then popped the frame on top. I inked the edges of the words, used my white gel pen, added some pearls and flowers, and called it done. Give this a go, it's a fun project. A box within a box...

Another little box I created using this file. Did not come out as pictured in my head, so I had to improvise. I cut it at the size it opened in SCAL and then could not make an inside box big enough out of a 12x12 piece of cardstock. So, I made a box as big as I could. Then, like when we were kids, I wove strips of cardstock together to make a "bottom" for the box to rest on. Wow, crazy project that I though would be easy! I cut the pink hearts out of glitter paper and it looks cute set back in. I tied ribbons on the corners to jazz it up some. I used the same process to create this box as in the other box post. I would suggest making the box first, then sizing the sides to fit the box. I learned that the hard way. I still like how it looks though...almost a shadow box effect. Check out SVGCuts.com! Amazing collections to get there. You can also buy your Sure Cuts A Lot from them. So worth it!

Aunt Jill's Valentine Collection

I created this little box using the frame from this collection. I broke it apart in SCAL and removed the center to make a mat instead of a frame. I then cut a heart out of the center to create a window. I then sandwiched acetate between the layers to be able to fill it with goodies. I then made a simple shallow box/tray for the bottom and then adhered the sides all around. I tied little ribbons and added some pearls. Hope you like.
