Cruising Through Life...

I found a new channel on YouTube and I love her! She made a card the other day, and I wanted to do one too. Here's my version.

I cut out several of these bikes using my die. I arranged them so that they covered as much of the card front as possible. I then cut about 4-5 out of black cardstock and layered them up. I then put one more of the green on top of that and aligned it with one on the card front.

Then I pulled out some bright green Stickles and highlighted the metal parts of the bike.

I stamped the sentiment and cut a banner end. I layered up that with a green piece and a black piece. I smeared a bit of the same Stickles on the green piece. I popped one end up and glued down the other end.
I then strew around a few different bits of bling, mounted it to a black layer and then that went on the card base.
Hope you like it!

Foiled Hugs...

Here's today's card project. Super bright and super fun! I'm stuck on foil and watercolor these days, lol
To start with I used card front die but I did not cut it, I embossed it instead. Once that was done, I used water colors and love how it settles in the indentations. Dried in between each layer of color. I picked colors out of  Kuretake Gansai Tambi water color set and watered some down, left some more intense. Love how this looks!

I cut a hole in the center to create a shaker card.  Added sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, and a bit of seed beads. I scattered a few on the front of the card.

And yep...I added foil, surprise surprise, lol. I cut the sentiment and little bow from paper printed in my toner printer and foiled it in my laminator. I then cut the sentiment again from fun foam for added dimension. I rotated one of the bows just a bit to see a bit more of it. The entire panel was then layered up on the card base.

And, there you have it. A super fun and super bright card. Wouldn't that brighten someones day?!

Playing with foil...

I have fallen in love with foiling!!! I did the moment I saw it, as have many of you. I already had a laminator and all I needed was a printer using toner. Found one at Staples for about 59.00!
What I do is print letter size paper in the toner, then I can use it for any of my die cuts. Or I can do print/cut with my Cameo.
Either way, I love the look. So I have two cards to share today.
I wasn't totally have with the look I was getting. So, I did some experimenting. I did what others posted, using a folded typing paper carrier...or parchment paper. They never came out good. I was a bit bummed as I really want it to work!
Well, today I increased my carrier to 80# cardstock. A fair bit heavier than the others. I thought maybe it would increase the pressure a bit, making a better bond. AND IT DID!!! I am so thrilled. On to my cards.

Here's the first one. I used a die from Simon Says Stamp...love it! I then cut another out of fun foam to add dimension. You gotta LOVE that rainbow foil!!! I adhered that to a panel cut using a rectangle die. I popped that panel up with fun foam as well. Then I scattered about, some sequins and various sizes of foiled dots. I have a die that cuts  all various sizes of dots. Love how this looks!

I made this card doing all the exact same things using the negative space left from cutting the hello. I really like how this came out as well. So fun and pretty. Sure to cheer up anyone!
You gotta admit, these are so pretty!

Here's your shopping list.

Various foil sheets were purchased on Amazon. If you look, you'll find a lot!

Hope you like my cards for today and got a bit of inspiration. Get out your supplies and have some fun!

Enjoy The Little Things...

Found a sketch on Pinterest similar to this card. Trying to design cards out of my comfort zone. So I'm using sketches for inspiration. Nothing wrong with that, right?!
Anyway, I used items in my stash do put this together.

I used some butterfly dies from MCT and cut with thick Neenah cardstock. Then I stamped the bits that go on the wings. After that was dry. I did a bit of watercolor, even though this isn't watercolor paper, it worked ok. I just didn't over do the water. I brushed them with a bit of Wink of Stella for some shimmer.
I used a black marker to carefully color in the body and antennae.

I added the sentiment using fun foam to add dimension. Scattered on some sequins and calling this one done.

Here's the shopping list.

There you have it! Now go and get your craft on, lol

Greetings...

I'm on a roll, lol!
Having only one grandbaby during the day, and my craftroom with no Pac N Play, I can get in there and play at nap time.
So, I'm looking at card sketches because I find myself doing the same thing all time. Need to stretch myself a bit. Hopefully after awhile, I'll get different designs of my own.
Anyway, this card today is from a sketch.

I used dies from MCT and played with Distress inks and water again. I masked off the edges of my watercolor paper cause I wanted to keep that white edge. I think it looks so clean.
I used three of the newest colors released each month by Tim Holtz, love them!
After each layer, I used my heat tool, then added another layer. At the end, I dropped water from my finger tips, let it set a bit, then blotted it off, leave some droplets.

I tied twine through the die cut buttons and added some sequins. Used foam for some dimension.
Hope you like my card today.

Love You Tons...

Shocker!!!
Another blog post today, lol! Told you I have been playing, just not photographing.
This card is made using a few images from Lawnfawn. I colored them using my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, odorless mineral spirits. I like how you can really blend it out. I then added some little dots for texture. Nichol Magouirk does this and I like it.

I used some new dies from Avery Elle for the white mat. The striped piece was cut with two dies from Lawnfawn to create a frame. The I inset it and backed with vellum.
I outlined it on the back with foam tape to hold a few shaker hearts. Same as the ones on the front. The pink hearts are from MCT and the glitter ones are a Martha Stewart punch.
The sentiment piece is cut using a die from Pretty Pink Posh. I love how it just gives a stitched look on the edges. I made a simple banner cut on one edge.

I hope you found a bit of inspiration from my card today. Get out your supplies and get creative! Try something new. Be adventurous, lol!

Here's what I used.

Have fun getting your craft on!

You're So Sweet...

Wow...I have been MIA on this blog!!!
Sorry about that. It's been a rough year for me medically. Cancer diagnosis, surgery, everything that could go wrong...did, follow up surgery....I'M DONE!!!
I also still take care of my grand babies, and just don't have time for pics and posting. I do find time to play, however. I'm down to one grand baby so maybe I can go back and post what I've been making.

For today, I have a card using water coloring. Water does it's own thing, lol, and I'm learning to just let it go. Also, drying in between and layering. Still not happy at times, but practice is the key!

I created a circle of water, and began to add my colors. I used Distressed Inks for this. Lots of drying, and going back with more. Slow process for me, but it's fun!
I then cut them out using dies from MCT,
I cut the background layer using Lawnfawn rectangle dies. Taped off the edges and went to town with the inks.
The tag sentiment is stamped on a banner die from Avery Elle called Wonky Stitches.

I love the fun colors on this and think it actually came out pretty good. I popped up the circles on dimensional adhesive. Tucked the ice cream cone behind and added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

The only thing I wish is the sparkly glitter on the vanilla ice cream showed up better. It's so sparkly in real!

Anyway, I hope you like my card and I'll be taking pics and post as I get them finished.

Here's your shopping list.
