Fall time photo shoot...

Today is another day for doing some layouts. Wow...I am out of practice!!! Layouts don't come easy for me, and this...believe it or not...took me awhile! Anyhow...my daughter is honing her photography skills, and is often not in the pics. But....this time, a friend of hers snapped a few pics too. Glad for that, cause I want to see her with her beautiful daughter! She's an awesome Mom and I want to scrap these memories for Aleida, one day to look back on.

Today, I did a Smashbook layout. I actually think this is becoming the easiest for me. It can be casual, yet pulled together. I used lots of dies and not so many stamps this time. I had these two cursive die cuts that came with some papers I have. I thought this would be a good place to use them.

I used the two different stitched journaling dies and matted the photos. Then I used the stitched tab die and tucked under for some stamping. I also used the number dies to date these pics. I added a bit of white stitching as well. And who doesn't LOVE those enamel dots!!!
Aren't they quite a pair?!

I grabbed the large Stitched Capture Frame Die and mounted it over Aleida's pic. I used the same pic, but smaller and mounted in on a piece of  paper and then just trimmed it down and rounded the corners. Added another tab and left a place for journaling. Again, more enamel dots, some clouds, and more white gel pen.

I like how this came out...stamping the label letters and tucking them under the edge of the photo. I cut them leaving just the tiniest edge around each letter. She is a beauty for sure! But then, look at her Mom!

So, on to the details. Here is a list of the products I used in the layout.

One thing is for sure...I need to do layouts more often...to stay in the groove...lol! I like having them and I actually like doing them...once I get my mind in the game. And, with the help of my Selphy printer, it's easier than ever to use the pics on my phone!

We all know how we hate to see ourselves in photos but the memories will be cherished by our children/grandchildren! BEAUTIFUL job! She is a cutie isn't she! Happy Monday!

  4. I think it is important to have Mom in the picture and Grandma too sometimes. Years from now the kids will enjoy seeing pictures of themselves but need to see family in there also. Great job on your layout...I like the script words cuts and enamel dots.
