Winnie & Walter Poinsettia....

So, I'm down with the flu...terrible sore throat, coughing, runny nose....not fun. BUT....yesterday I got my new Winnie & Walter stamps. Today I wanted to play.

So I stamped it out in black ink and chose three reds out of my watercolors. And I set out to paint. This process is challenging for me. I struggle with the ratio of water to color. Sometimes it's too wet and sometimes I can't get it to move well. So I fiddle and fiddle till I get it looking how I think it looks good.

I had also purchased the stamp set that is all this cool tiny bling. Sequins, squares, stars, snowflakes...super cute!!! So I used a couple of the round sequins and stamped with gold ink.

I matted it on black and then on gold glitter paper. Added dimensionals and put it on a white card front. I cut it down so it's prob 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.

I still love using real sequins but I do like these too! Would make a cool stamped background, unlimited colors, and adds no bulk. It's fun for a different look. Once the flower was stamped, I masked it off and stamped the pine boughs and then pulled off the mask. I get a bit giddy doing that, it's so fun to see the reveal, lol! I stamped "Joy" and brushed on a bit of Wink of Stella in clear over the top.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment and mounted it on gold glittered cardstock.

This pic isn't the greatest, sorry bout that. Didn't feel like setting it all up again for another shot. Oh well....guess it's this flu, lol!

Anyway, love these Winnie & Walter stamp sets. They stamp so beautifully! Going to get lots of use out of these.

Here's your shopping list.

There ya go! Have fun crafting and thanks for stopping by!

Gansai Tambi.....

Playing around with Gansai Tambi watercolors today. I pulled out a sketch type stamp set from My Creative Time. Stamped with archival black ink and then set about to watercolor them. I'm learning it takes VERY little of these watercolors. And that's been my biggest issue with them...I go to heavy. So today I really tried for very little ink and more water. Worked way better!

I know it's fall, but this is just what came out, lol. I love the softness of it and it really doesn't matter to me that it looks like a Spring card...I'll save it till then.

I added a few sequins and some white accents with my gel pen.

Here's what I used.

So, that's it. Simple card today. Get out your supplies and do some playing.
Thanks for coming by!

Share Handmade Kindness....

Join in on Jennifer McGuire's challenge for the month of November! Let's all spread some kindness.

Some Days...

You just need that glass of wine! Lol...really though, some days are like that. I got out my Distress Ink markers and set about to color one of the cutest ever stamps from Art Impressions....Girlfriends.

I LOVE these stamps, they are so funny! These aren't something you'll sit down and whip up many cards real fast, at least not for me. It takes me awhile to color these...but very fun and very relaxing!

Yep...some days! Anyway, I used a set of frame dies from Simon Says Stamp. You get teeny tiny, scalloped, an inner frame, and also two smaller journaling/label dies. Really frames up your piece nicely. I cut several of the tiny inner green frame and layered them up. Hard to see, but it stands up above all the rest.

I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Scattered a few sequins around as well. I coated the wine glasses with Glossy Accents to make them really look like glass. Also added some glitzy little dots to the green top with my Sakura gel pen.

Hard to get a good pic of this cause I cut the wine glass from acetate. I added some colored cardstock under the acetate to resemble wine. Used one dimensional to pop it up and scattered a few sequins. finished off by stamping the sentiment.

Stamp and die can be found here.

Hope you got a bit of inspiration from my card to get out your supplies and get to playing!
Happy Crafting!
