Flying High...

I think this is the first Designer Challenge I've been in since joining the team. This was fun, I must say. Kim brought us a Tic Tac Toe challenge. Choose any column or row and use the three things listed.
Here's the chart to choose from. I chose diagonal, top left to lower right. So, I used a die, added twine, and did some faux stitching. Guess that qualifies my project for this challenge, lol. Here is what I made.

When I saw the new kit over at SVGCuts, I knew I wanted to make the hot air balloon asap! This was really fun to make and I will be doing more! I used papers from the new Carta Bella release called Cool Summer. When I saw the cloud patterned paper I knew I would for sure use that one. Then I just chose a couple other to coordinate. And that cloud paper took me to the cloud dies with the plane and the banner. So, I jumped right in and this is what came out.

I added a couple clouds and attached with hot glue. It was easy to get it stuck without having to put a lot of pressure on the piece, and it stuck quickly. I chose to place the plane flying over the clouds, with the banner in tow.

I love this airplane die and the stamp that coordinates! So cute! And the clouds have that great stitching on the edges...love!

I thought this sentiment was quite suitable for an airplane and a hot air balloon. Love the detail in these dies...the way they layer and the curve...not to mention the stitching!

Not too easy getting a good pic of this thing...lol! The blue ribbon is to hang it, but I couldn't figure out where to hang it and not get a "busy" background...aka...my entire room...lol! Hopefully you get the idea.

Anyhow, why don't you take a look at the chart, pick a row, gather up your stuff, and join with us in this Designer Challenge. We would love to see what you guys come up with! Head over to Miss Emma's blog and check out the other projects...then come on back and link yours!

So, here's what I used to create this.
