WOW!!! Have you guys had fun the last couple weeks?! What amazing new stuff, huh! Well....here's some more for ya! Emma never ceases to amaze...and this release is amazing...like every other before it.

You should have arrived here from Cathryn.

Here's what I made for you today using the new A Day In December stamp set. I really wanted to try a December Daily...but it just ain't happening for me...lol! So, I did a 12 days of Christmas chest of drawers! The kiddos can open one drawer each day for the 12 days prior to Christmas and get their little surprise. I'm really happy with how this turned out.

This is a Lori Whitlock file from the Silhouette store, and I added legs to it. I wanted it to look a bit like a dresser.  I used Carta Bella papers. This is VERY easy to assemble. I love her files for that reason...they go together so neat and clean...and easy!

I went through the new stamp set and picked out lots of little sentiments I thought would be appropriate for this project. Most of them I stamped and hand trimmed, some I used dies for.  For all of them, I attached with dimensional adhesive. If you close, you can see the Wink of Stella glitter brush I used around the edges. I wanted to carry that feel of glitter throughout the project.

How cute is this?! These drawers are big enough that you can put things other than just candy. Hot Wheels, nail polish, lotion, jewelery....really about anything!

For day 1, I used one of the talk bubble dies, but it was too long. So, I followed the basic shape, and just hand cut around it to make it a bit shorter. I love that little jingle bell die! And I love Carta Bella's brads that go with this collection.

And the amazing bow die!!! I love these things. I used two layers of the largest of the bow dies, and for the tails on the bottom, I cut it in half because I wanted them to be out a bit further since I made the bow look bigger. I used my hot glue gun on this, I did not want it coming apart! And I added another of the brads to the center.

So, there you have it...my Christmas Countdown Chest of Drawers...lol! If you have a Cameo, I'd highly recommend this box. You could also use it on a desk or in a craft room for all those little bits of things. Or even for jewelery!

Here's what I used.

Well...the hop for the new release is here! Don't you love everything?! I can't even pick what I like best...love it all!!!

So, here's what I made for you today. I LOVE how this came out. Takes a bit of time, but super easy.

There ya go! Don't you just love it! I do...for sure!
So...to start I cut a 7 inch ring that is 1 inch wide with my Cameo. I layered probably three or four together so it is rather sturdy.
Then, pick your papers and start cutting LOTS of the Fun Size Bow from the new release. I didn't use the tiny piece that wraps around the center because it wasn't going to show anyway.
I used my hot glue gun to assemble the bows...I did not want these coming apart!
For each "piece", I used two bow dies, crisscrossed in the middle, hot glued together.
BE CAREFUL...THESE ARE LITTLE AND THAT GLUE IS HOT!!!
Then I hot glued a colored gem in the center.
Next, I cut lots of just the tail part of the die in red. I then cut those in half. I tucked them in various places around the wreath where I felt it needed it. If you wanted, you could actually do it all green, tuck in and hot glue some of the super cute mini ornaments that out there. Honestly, the sky is the limit with how you could do these. I can envision many color pallets!
I kept mine simple, but maybe something glittery would be nice. I stopped here...I liked it this way.
I had some burlap ribbon in my stash and made a loop and bow. I hot glued the loop to the back side and hot glued the bow to the front.
These would make a nice gift that really isn't much money...just your time.

Here's what I used.

I think that's the shortest ingredient list I've ever had!!! One good thing, you can make this even if you don't have a lot of Emma's products. How cute would this be...BIG....using the other bow die?!?!?!
So...from here, you go on to visit Cindy
Have fun hopping! I know you'll see lots of great things!

I think every sneak peak is amazing...but this one totally knocks it out of the ballpark for me!!!
I'm telling you what, Miss Emma just keeps putting out better and better things!
I wanted to do somewhat of a wall hanging piece. And when I looked over the new release, an idea came to me. I wanted to make something that looked like a window looking from the outside in. So, here is window scene I made for you all.

I used the 4x6 die to cut the opening in the center of the glitter paper, which is 5x7. And I also used it to cut the cream colored layer on the bottom. I attached the cream layer to a 5x7 piece of green cardstock. Then I added two layers of foam tape under the glitter frame. I attached the frame to the cream colored piece. Then I set about to add all the other elements. When finished, I added foam tape to the underside and attached to the red patterned paper, which was attached to the green scalloped layer with atg adhesive.

To make the tree, I just hand cut it from one of the sheets of 6x6 paper pad and mounted it on some dimensional adhesive. I used some of the gift dies to put under the tree.

I used the dies to cut the woman and all her accessories. LOVE THESE!!! It's like playing paper dolls.
I carefully glued each teeny tiny piece into place. She is on some foam dimensionals too. If you look close enough, you can see the glitter on the dog collar and leash. I used the tiny bow dies on some of the gifts too.

When I got this idea, I new instantly which stamp I would use. Perfect, right?! I stamped it on dark brown cause I wanted it to look like a wood plaque hanging on the wall...even added the string it's hanging from. I then added a couple of those tiny bows. It is also on dimensionals. I added the banner die at the top with all different patterns from this collection from Carta Bella. You guessed it, on dimensionals.

Finally, to mount the entire piece I cut a scalloped mat from SVGCuts. I cut the red patterned paper to
5.5 x 7.5 so it showed nicely as a layer. Then I added two layers of foam tape to the backside and attached it to the green scalloped mat.

To hang the piece, I strung ribbon through the two end scallops. I used twine to tie a little bow to hold them in place. Makes a cuter way....to me anyway to hang it. Check out the glitter paper!!! It's by American Crafts. Perfectly smooth...can't even feel the glitter....but wow, does it ever sparkle!!!

So there you have it...a cute little wall plaque to tuck into that tiny space that needs just a little something. On to my list of ingredients.

Pretty little tea light...

.

My fave...3D Wednesday!!! I love making cards, but I really love 3D stuff. So, for today I have a super cute little luminary for  you. I used one of the tag dies to make it. Super easy! I love at the holiday times to have little bits of flickering lights in lots of places. And with the little battery operated tea lights, it's easy and safe to have these cute luminaries inside! Here's mine for you.

Cute, right?! I used the Just Tags dies for this cute little box/luminary. I cut 4 of each, the bottom and top layers and glued the the together. On the front panel, I took the circle die from the Scallop & Stitched Circle dies and centered it left to right, but a bit above center so the base of the tea light doesn't show through the window. I sandwiched the vellum between the top and bottom tag so it doesn't show on the inside.

I like seeing the stars on the inside! I cut eight of them to hide the hole that is made when cutting the tags. The sparkle doesn't show very well, but wow...are they glittery!

And here is a pic of it lit up. I love these little tea lights, they flicker and look like the real deal!

See how it just sits down in there so perfectly. If you look close, you can see in the corner little tabs for securing the sides of the tags. I'll be giving step by step info in a sec. The stars also look a bit more glittery in this pic, too.

Guess what the Christmas tree is? It's the ice cream cone die...upside down! Can't take credit for that idea, one of the other DT girls had done that...she's genius! And the trunk of the tree is one of the label dies...the one with the chocolate drop. It's the flag type label that goes off the top...we all know and love those chocolate candies.

So, here's how I made this. I cut a square of cardstock to 3 1/8 x 3 1/8. Then score it at 1/2 inche on all sides. On two opposite sides, cut on the two vertical score lines up to the horizontal score line to create your tabs for gluing. Then just fold up on all score lines and glue those tabs to the inside. You end up with a box that is 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 x 1/2 inch tall. The reason I made it so short was because I didn't want it to show behind the vellum.

I then cut strips 1/2 inch wide and 1 1/2 inches long, and scored in half, at 1/4 inch. I added 1/8 inch Scor Tape to both tabs,

So...assembly. I added Scor Tape to the bottom edge of the tag. Line it up carefully to the little tray box, bottom and sides. Do two first. Then take one of the corner stabilizers and and align it in place so it doesn't come up to high and show at the point the tag begins to curve.

I know there might be an easier way, but with the hole in the front, if you make a taller little box, it will show. This way, nothing shows and these strips keep the sides together.
Now you can add the other sides, and reach in to place the other corner stabilizers. This way, it comes out pretty sturdy.

For the finishing touches, I cut the ice cream cone out of green glitter paper. I cut the tree trunk out of dark glitter paper using the label die. Trimmed it short enough to look like the bottom of a tree. I added it with dimensional adhesive.
Then I cut 8 stars out of gold glitter paper. With 4 of them, I added them with dimensionals to the fronts, to hide the hole that cuts in the tag. For the inside ones, I glued right down.
I tied red ribbon into a knot, cut a teeny tag die and stamped the sentiment, and glued it to the top of the tree. Then I added tiny red bling to the tree for the decorations.

I hope all of this makes sense, lol! I think when you get your pieces cut, and start to assemble...it will all make more sense. It's really not hard at all. I plan to make more of these to give during the holiday season. You really could decorate this anyway, for any occasion. How cute in a bath, on an end table, or a night light in a child's room. I think several lined up side by side on a shelf....I'll have several in my rooms.

Here's a list of the products I used.

I hope I didn't confuse you to bad about assembly. Really, it's easy. Dig out your supplies and whip some of these up for yourself or others. You'll love them?
Happy Crafting!

Fall time photo shoot...

Today is another day for doing some layouts. Wow...I am out of practice!!! Layouts don't come easy for me, and this...believe it or not...took me awhile! Anyhow...my daughter is honing her photography skills, and is often not in the pics. But....this time, a friend of hers snapped a few pics too. Glad for that, cause I want to see her with her beautiful daughter! She's an awesome Mom and I want to scrap these memories for Aleida, one day to look back on.

Today, I did a Smashbook layout. I actually think this is becoming the easiest for me. It can be casual, yet pulled together. I used lots of dies and not so many stamps this time. I had these two cursive die cuts that came with some papers I have. I thought this would be a good place to use them.

I used the two different stitched journaling dies and matted the photos. Then I used the stitched tab die and tucked under for some stamping. I also used the number dies to date these pics. I added a bit of white stitching as well. And who doesn't LOVE those enamel dots!!!
Aren't they quite a pair?!

I grabbed the large Stitched Capture Frame Die and mounted it over Aleida's pic. I used the same pic, but smaller and mounted in on a piece of  paper and then just trimmed it down and rounded the corners. Added another tab and left a place for journaling. Again, more enamel dots, some clouds, and more white gel pen.

I like how this came out...stamping the label letters and tucking them under the edge of the photo. I cut them leaving just the tiniest edge around each letter. She is a beauty for sure! But then, look at her Mom!

So, on to the details. Here is a list of the products I used in the layout.

One thing is for sure...I need to do layouts more often...to stay in the groove...lol! I like having them and I actually like doing them...once I get my mind in the game. And, with the help of my Selphy printer, it's easier than ever to use the pics on my phone!
