Holiday tissue box cover

Designed by

This simple tissue box cover is so easy and sure beats the store box! Plus, you can customize it to fit your decor or for any special occasion. Here is how I did it. I use Kleenex brand tissues.

Celtic Card SVG Kit
Celtic Knots and Clovers SVG Collection

1. Cut 2 strips of cardstock 5 inches x 9 inches
2. Score each at 4.5 and 8.75
3. Use strong adhesive and attach narrow tabs to larger sides.
4. Here is the top. There are two pieces.
5. On the larger lid piece, score at 1.5 inches on all sides. Cut on score lines on two opposite sides to form tabs for folding and gluing. As you would for making any lid or box.
6. Cut smaller lid piece from decorative paper. Layer on top of larger lid piece.
7. Cut pieces for the sides of the box from decorative paper. Cut two at 4 inches and two at 4.25 inches. The sides of the tissue box aren't symmetrical, so put the pieces where they fit..
8. Decorate edges of top as desired.

I like to ink edges, add white gel pen, Stickles glitter glue, ribbon, buttons...things like that. Make it your own. This could be fun to make for any occasion. Enjoy!

If there is any problem downloading the top file, please let me know.

Valentine Day Drum

Created by
Cheryl Becker

Here is my latest Design Team project for over at SVGCuts.com. I used the Christmas drum from the Santa's Visit SVG Kit. I love that drum and envisioned a basic container for any occasion, simply changing up papers and accents. For details on creating one of these yourself, head over to the SVGCuts blog. Take a few minutes while you are there to browse the amazing files in their store. Some great stuff there!

Dino-mite Day shaker card...

Designed by

Birthday Dino's SVG Collection

I created this as a shaker card thinking the open area of this Dion lent itself perfect for it. I used my SCAL software to break apart, create a shadow layer as the card base, cut an extra window for the top. I glued a piece of acetate to the back to hold all the shake-y stuff inside. I didn't have any beads so I cut tiny bits of some cording I had. Added white gel pen accents and inked edges for dimension. Hope you like!

Layered Hearts Door Hanging....

Designed by
Cheryl Becker

I created this door hanging using files from Valentine Mail Boxes SVG Kit from SVGCuts.com. I created several different sizes and began layering them with dimensional adhesives under each layer. Pulled out my old laces and found one I like to put under the edge of a couple of the layers. I inked all the edges and added some white pearls. For the rosette, I used one of the strips from Rosie's Ribbon Strips SVG Collection. I used the one with the stars, broke it apart, deleted the stars and put in little hearts in their place. Scored in between each scallop, accordion fold, attach ends, and push down to form a rosette. I used my hot glue gun to attach a circle on the back side. It holds the rosette together the best of any adhesive. Added a bit of ribbon under the rosette and at the top for hanging.
